Soilwork- Follow The Hollow

The artist for March is Soilwork with their song "Follow The Hollow"

Soilwork, a band that first formed in 1997 In Sweeden has come an extremely long way. 1997 Soilwork released a five-track demo, titles "In Dreams We Fall Into The Eternal Lake". The demo created very little buzz. So, Soilwork came back with a full lengthed release in 1998 entitled "Steelbath Suicide". "Steelbath Suicide" created a quite the large buzz in the metal underground. With the positive responces to "Steelbath Suicide" Soilwork returned to the studio in 2000 to record their next album "The Chainheart Machine", which quikly became one of many great albums released in 2000. Finnally becoming larger, with that album it allowed Soilwork in the door to further establish themselves. In 2001 Soilwork released "A Predators Portrait", an album that caught many of the already existing fans and critics by surprise. The album also expanded the fanbase of Soilwork. Due to that album, they got themselves into many gigs, including one at Wacken Open Air in front of 20,000 fans. With this it opened the door for the band to America, and allowed them to perform at the Milwaukee Metalfest. Now being well establish Soilwork returned to the studio yet again to work on 2002's "Natural Born Chaos". This highly successful release landed the band's first American tour supporting Hypocrisy, Killswitch Engage and Scar Culture. Never slowing down, SOILWORK birthed Figure Number Five in the following year. Yet another step ahead for the Swedes, this potent piece of energetic metal led to two more massive American tours alongside acts such as Chimaira, In Flames, As I Lay Dying and Bleeding Through. In 2005 saw the release of the sixth Soilwork album "Stabbing The Drama". The album lead to more touring, this time with more major bands such as: Fear Factory, Darkest Hour, Strapping Young Lad, Dark Tranquillity, Hypocrisy, Mnemic, Darkane, Threat Signal and highlighted by a spot on Ozzfest's second stage. "Stabbing The Drama" was the most successful Soilwork album yet. In December of 2005, guitarist of Soilwork left the band to pursue a career in production. Even with the departure of their guitarist the band did not slow down, instead they held many auditions before finnally finding a suitable replacement. After the suitable replacement was found, theybegan preparing material for the new album " Sworn to A Great Divide" which soon became a masterpiece. With seven albums under their belt Soilwork is deffinately a band that you should keep an eye out for. Even Rob Halford of Judas Priest thinks so.
