I disappoint her by disliking him for the actions he has taken and hurt us with?
My mom has been upset with me lately because I still dislike my dad for the actions he did that hurt us. Those include the following:
*Ran off 2 minutes after mom gets home from surgery,still drugged up,Gone 2 weeks
*Ran off for 3 weeks for "work"
*Called this woman a lot,in secret
*Stayed at said woman's house
*Hid how much money he had
*Gave us $20-$50 to run the house on for at least a week
*Would leave with his WHOLE pay check
*Gambled his money and pay check away
*Would be gone and not answered this phone
*Referred to me as HER daughter
*Cussed us out
*Screamed at us
*Called us names
*Ignored us
*Smokes several packs of cigarettes today,I have Asthma,he has Black Lung
*Tried to blame everything on me
*Accused my mom of cheating
*Accused me of keeping "Mom's cheating" a secret

And I'm suppose to forget 2 years of that and live like it never happened? No,I can't do that. Those two years were THE worst in my life probably. It's hard living on only that much money a week when you need food,gas,or to do the laundry or PAY THE BILLS. He also borrowed money we were not told about. We kept this a secret from everyone else in the family except my brother for a year.
He's been here over a month without leaving surprisingly. He still smokes. I can't forget what he's done to us though. There's no way.

My dad has done many of those things,
and my parents have fought and hated eachother since the minute I've been born, and only last year did they divorce...they're still fighting and going through money issues etc.
=\ i say i hate him most of the time, but he can be nice,
and no matter how small those acts of kindness are, i cannot bring myself to say i hate him.

you shouldnt have to
you have every right to be upset
but parents arent always stupid and im sure your mother sees some significance in his efforts of trying to save their mairrage and your family, although it may seem to already be in ruins
you dont have to forgive him
but be there for your mom
she sounds like shes been through alot, as you have
if you want change, make it happen
work with her to change him
dont hate him forever, watch time pass, and regret your life until its over
i do agree with you though
hes hurt you alot, and that should have consequences
