Lovely Confessions

You’re speaking in run-on sentences
Just a jumble of commas and dependent clauses
You’ve disregarded all the spaces for pauses

You’re rushing because meaning is too big for your mouth
You can’t be rational and it all just pours out
You're short of breath but you can't seem to slow down

But promise to make this untidy heap of words forever mine
And you can stutter to me for the rest of our lives

It’s like a meager stream that becomes a roaring river
Like the breeze becomes freezing in the winter
Like my cold heart becomes warm when the sun hits her

One of those perfect moments that transcend time
A starry night leading to a striking sunrise
I have you now, so if I died tomorrow I don’t think I’d mind

If you promise to keep your imperfect words forever mine
Then you can stammer to me for the rest of our lives

it's not lyrics, really, just a poem. and if you didn't get it, it's about when someone you love confesses their love to you and it's just like.....perfect.
i'm not sure how i feel about this. it's ehhhh. whatever. thoughts? similar experiences?
