Sarah Palin?

So. Elections are coming up and McCain's chosen a VP candidate that no one's ever heard of. Now everyone's talking about lipstick quotes (??) and hockey moms and how she's "really hott" or whatever, but I haven't heard too much about her stance on some issues. In my opinion, I think that McCain chose her mostly because she's a) a woman and b) young. But I dunno.

Here's what I've heard about her:

- Pro-life, even in rape cases (the only exception is if the mother's life is in danger)

- Against same-sex marriage and she says that "spousal benefits are reserved for married citizens as defined in the Constitution"

- Wants schools to teach Creationism

- Wants to take polar bears off the endangered species list because it would adversely affect energy development in Alaska

- Supports drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

- Created "Loyalty Day" in Alaska to celebrate American heritage

- Doesn't think that climate change is linked to people in any way

- She said "alternative energy solutions are far from imminent and would require more than 10 years to develop", but developing the new domestic oil resources that she supports (offshore drilling, drilling in Alaska, etc.) would take at least that long to set up

Eh. What do you people think about her?
