You had me from that first kiss...

Yesterday was the best day of my life.

I went to my friend Spammy Grollio's annual Halloween party. (that's just her nickname, btw) This year, though, she invited Ben.

Ben's this guy who's liked me for quite some time now, and I liked him back. But I wanted him to say it first.

Anyways, we were all outside in our costumes. Elspeth was a dog, Flynn was the ring leader from the music video for Panic! At The Disco's "I Write Sins Not Tragedies", Spammy was a hippie with a fish head (don't ask), Lauren was a witch, (or is, rather), Paige was Princess Agaesia or something, Kilyssa was a Penn State hobo (again, don't ask), Ben was a Jedi storm trooper or something, and I was Mikey Way. (really I just got the official Black Parade jacket and wore Mikey glasses all day) Well, Flynn got the idea to get me and Ben together alone, so she told Paige, "Hey, let's get Skylar and Ben together." Lauren, however, had a different idea. She told Paige that Flynn said "push" instead of "get" and Paige shoved us hard, knocking me to the deck, almost cracking my skull, burning my scalp, snapping my neck, and/or breaking several of my bones. I was bleeding and everything. Well, long story short, (or at least not as long) Paige ran away scared because Lauren was telling everyone random shit that never happened and that nobody ever said.

Flynn had another brilliant idea. It was to wait until me and Ben were alone together, so that I would calm down before they told me that they knew where Paige was. Well, we all split up in random groups a few times. Once, Lauren led me through the basement, but I knew she wasn't there because I'm excellent at tracking and I know when I'm being lied to. I asked Lauren, "You're keeping her from me, aren't you?" and she said no, even though I know for a fact that they were.

Anyways, me and Ben eventually were a group of our own, so that we could be alone. We were searching the front yard together, me carrying a big stick, when we started talking. I don't remember what we said, though. I made a random joke, and I apologized, telling him that I suck at making jokes, and that's why I gave up the whole comedian thing. Suddenly, he said, "Skylar, you know I like you, right?" I said, "really?" even though I already knew that, along with the entire freaking free world. And he said, "Yeah, I do." "I like you too, Ben" I replied, to which he smiled and said, "So, you wanna go out sometime?" I said, "Sure, when?" and he shrugged.

Then I turned around and gave him a big hug.

Then we walked some more, and I hugged him again, kissing him on the cheek.

Well, later, we were in the basement, (I forget everything inbetween the two scenes, except for vague things) and we talked a little more. I hugged him tight and said, "I really like you Ben." and pulled back a little. He was looking at me. I hugged him again. "I like you so much." I whispered again, and I looked up. He still had that look on his face. "Go for it," I muttered. And we kissed.

Later, we were standing on the street waiting for my dad to pick me up. Flynn dragged Spammy away and me and Ben were alone. Again. (God, Flynn! I hope you read this some time!) Ben and me talked a little more, and he said, "Wow, I can't believe I actually had my first kiss." "Same here," I said. "Hey, how about your second?"

We kissed again.

This time, though, my stepdad saw the whole thing from his truck. Through his hunting binoculars.

Oh, and Spammy was watching, too. Bitches.

Now I finally have a boyfriend, for the first tiem since the blind kid cheated on me in 3rd grade. Except, I'm kinda sad. I miss him already. I missed him as soon as I left the party. But I'm also really insanely happy at the same time. Is it always this confusing?

Also, in addition to geting the best boyfriend ever, I finally got a good nickname.
