Sweetie Pie
Why is it that people don't think I have the capability to be sweet?
If people judged by looks only we'd all be royally f*cked.
I put my sweetness to the test on an old lady today and I passed the sweetness test with flying colors.
FLASHBACK:
I was in the store and my brother wanted a cookie. They were giving free cookies to kids 12 and under (or kids that were cute enough to be qualified as so). I'm 13, but I wanted a cookie. I was dressed in tight ripped up black jeans, Converse (one black shoe and one red), skeleton gloves with the fingers cut out, and this shirt that was black, red, white, and grey, not to mention my red eyeliner. I didn't look the part, but I wanted a cookie really bad. So I went up and gave a show that nobody could forget. My brother got a chocolate chip cookie and my mom told me to ask if I could get one. So in my sweetest voice I said, "Can I have a cookie too?" and pulled the puppy dog eyes that only a 5 year old could successfully pull off (until I came along). She smiled and said sure and asked what I wanted like she was talking to a cute little kid. I said I wanted the M&M cookie, thanked her sweetly, and walked away with my mommy to enjoy my delicious cookie.
Now you tell me that isn't sweetness at its finest! (on the outside) I can also be super sweet on the inside, but you have to get to know me to see that. It's like a privlege. You can only see it if you're willing to see past the eccentric clothing and the agressiveness towards people who want to hurt me. I'm really the sweetest damn thing in our school. I even carry around my bunny doll sometimes! (My Usa-chan, just like Honey's!)
Also, I made this quiz on Quizilla. (What type of Host Girl would you be?) I didn't fix the answers or anything, I took it honestly and got:
The Loli-shota type!
You love eating cakes and love your stuffed "Usa-chan" very much. You and your cousin hold a very special bond. Sure, you may act immature, but it might be some master plan to be the cutest damn thing. You are short and cute. People usually mistake you for a kid who's a lot younger than you seem. You are hyperactive and talkative, and even though you are 18 you still take afternoon naps. You're skilled at karate and when you wake up you're not a very nice person (which would shock your customers). HOW YOU JOINED: You were supposed to be the next master of your family's dojo but nobody took you seriously. Sure you were skilled, but you still were too cute, sweet, hyperactive, and fun to be around and you loved bunnies and cakes WAY too much. So after a talk with your father you decided the best thing would be to give all these things up completely. It was torturous and people could see how strained you were and how hard you were really trying. It made you even more adorable, in a way. Everyone called you the "Spartan Princess" and you liked how tough it made you sound. But still you longed to be cute and sweet, bunny-loving and cake-eating. On your ten-minute break (you were doing karate exercises with the people you led) you went outside, only to be staring straight into the eyes of the most perfect boy ever. He was cute, happy, and holding... two bunnies? And cake? It was Hunny, the boy in your grade who was exactly like you... emphasis on was. "_____ - chan, I brought you this!" he said, holding out a bunny and the cake. You told him that you had to kick the habit if people would ever take you seriously, if you could ever have any strength. As you said this a tear or two escaped your eyes. His eyes widened. "Don't cry!" he wailed and his eyes started filling with tears too. You, in turn, begged him not to cry. "But I have to cry, ______ - chan!" he said. "You remind me so much of myself!" You asked what he meant and he told you the story of how he was a great warrior but if he ever wanted to be strong he would have to give up sweetness and cuteness - or so he was told. He said that it tortured him and it was evident to everyone that he was trying too hard. But he still tried. Then, on his ten minute break (which you found ironic) he went outside and saw a cute plushy bunny. He couldn't take it anymore and he rushed after the bunny "like a fool." (as he put it.) He rounded the corner and saw Suoh Tamaki holding the rabbit. Honey was asked by this stranger to join the Host Club and he tried to protest. It was hard, though. Finaly Tamaki told him something along the lines of "True strength is being true to yourself and what you like." So, after much thought, he and his cousin Mori joined the Host Club, quitting the Karate Club and finally being able to be himself. When he was finished with his story he smiled. "So what do you say, _____ - chan?" he asked. You were still unsure. He told you to think about it and left one of the bunnies in your hand. The next day you went to the Host Club and requested that you sit with Honey. It was a slow day and you got Honey all to yourself. You became a regular customer and became yourself, quitting the Karate Club and eating cakes and playing with bunnies and your new friend Hunny. (the bunny he gave you was your favorite and you carried it around everywhere) The following week you and your cousin were asked to join the Host Club. Many people wondered who could win in a fight between the two of you, but the fight didn't last long. You both broke down crying and apologizing cutely then went on to play with your bunnies together. While the two of you were alone in his room, he apologized again. You assured him it was okay, but he still felt sad. Somehow one thing led to another and the two of you kissed, and after you pulled away (quite some time later) the two of you were blushing like mad. A little while later you and Honey started going steady. You eventually got married. Mori was the best man, your cousin was the maid of honour, and your bunnies were the ring bearer and flower girl.
(yeah, I typed all that, I was stuck on quarantine with nothing to do)
And I've gottten countless other things like that too! So why don't people just get to know me and see the sweetness that's so obviously there?

Just coz someone looks scary doesn't mean they are scary.
Like lions can look scary but they can also look cute.

"I can also be super sweet on the inside, but you have to get to know me to see that."
Maybe that's the problem. Maybe you need to let people see the real you right from the start.
