My Usa-chan!
Before I start I must warn you: I will sound like a kindergartener that can write like an 8th grader.
So, I'm sure by now that most people know of my obsession with the anime/manga, Ouran High School Host Club.
It started as an obsession with the Hitachiin Twins, Hikaru and Kaoru. At this point I am still Kaoru and I now have a GSB twin who is Hikaru (but that's not her username). Their random incestual acts made me look up fanfictions and well... I am now a total Hitachiincest fanatic. In fact, I've written a few of my own... Though they were oneshots and NOT R rated.
Then I became obsessed with Honey. He's the loli-shota type (cute little boy type). I once made a list of qualities that the perfect guy would have for a health class thing, and then I found it and I'm all, "Ohmygosh, it's Honey!"
I got into a lot of OHSHC related stuff and it's amazing. I bought uniform patches from eBay. And another thing I got off eBay is my Usa-chan!
Now, you're probably wondering what an Usa-chan is. Well, it's my BunBun!
See, you know how Honey carries around a bunny that he calls "Usa-chan"? (Japanese for BunBun) Well, they apparently sell the official BunBuns in Asia and online. So I bought one.
It came in the mail on Friday while I was at school and it's been with me ever since. I carry it around everywhere. In school, to my classes, to the cafeteria, the school library, the public library, the grocery store, the mall, random places in public, even to the bathroom so the school whores don't molest it (they've tried!). Pretty much everywhere I go, so does my Usa-chan.
Now, picture this. One of the scariest kids in school (they think I'm scary, teehee) starts carrying around a pink stuffed bunny with a red bow around its neck. Now imagine this kid's in eighth grade. And she talks to it. And she talks and acts like a kindergartener. (I've been told I'm the equivalent of a kindergartener, and not just because of the bunny - I also take naps after school) Sound's strange? Well, what if you saw this kid in chorus, using her scarf as a hammock for her bunny so it can take a nap too? That's me.
There's this kid, Seth, who is terrified of my Usa-chan. He thinks it's the freakiest thing ever. I mean, me carrying around a bunny and being sweet enough to rot your teeth out and eating massive amounts of cake for lunch and repeatedly begging the cafeteria ladies to serve tea because my bunny wants it really freaks him out. Plus he's in my chorus class so he saw when I made the bunny hammock and tethered it down with Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders.
I don't think it's so creepy to carry a bunny around. I mean, it's just a toy.
Seth kind of reminds me of Yasuchika, only Seth isn't as cute. *you have to read the manga to know what I'm talking about*
My science teacher asked me today, "Are you trying to be like Honey?" (I had drawn fanart and she put it up on her board but I guess she looked it up to make sure it was appropriate) I said that I wasn't and it's true. I guess watching the anime and reading the manga so much has started to have a huge effect on me, ne?
Then today was picture day for clubs. I was in the chorus picture and the lady made me put my bunny down so I pouted for the picture. I came back for the e-avesdropper staff picture and she said I could hold my bunny up for the last picture. So when the lady said "Funny picture, bunny picture" and pointed at me slightly, me and Flynn held up my bunny. We kinda had to fight over it. So my bunny might be in the yearbook!
All in all, I'm glad I got into OHSHC. (which I will do a review on when I'm done with my current fanfics)

i find it so odd how ostracized you are. i suppose my school just has more people who are farther from the norm, so it's easier to be accepted...or it could be that i just don't see it, i am a bit of an optimist. i know that some people are still cruel, but there are also many people who are more accepting as well.
at my high school, we have two main buildings with classrooms, A and B. normal people hang outaround A building, while all of the stranger people centralize around B building. but..there are/have been people who wear kimonos, fox tails, naruto head bands, come dressed in cosplay costumes, carry plushies- foxes, fish, teddy bears, all manner of queer things.
anyway. it seems like you are not afeared to be who you are, despite the way people treat you for it. that is a good thing, i think. it shows that you are not just some one who is following a trend or what ever that you could just stop because some one made fun of you. -shrug-
props to you with your usa-chan. ^_____^
