Fall Out Boy-Infinity On High
Today I bought the new Fall Out Boy CD, mainly because I had heard so much. It seemed to zoom it's way to the top of the Billboard charts and put the same band on the cover of Rolling Stone. "That's pretty awesome for them." And let me tell you, buying the CD Infinity On High was worth the price. The songs blend varieties of rap and R&B into a skillful brand of pop punk/alternative rock. The one and only Jay-Z raps the introduction to Thriller, the opening track on the album.
Definitely the highlight of the album is the song This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race. It has a catchy beat, and the words, though strange, make sense. Though some fans don't understand the songs, on the official site, bassist Peter Wentz has made it clear that what they right can be understood best by the band. "we're not gonna dumb it down" says Pete.
So buy this album! And if you get the chance, see them in concert, 'cause they're on tour. The shows are sloppy, but lead guitarist Joe Trohman and bassist Peter Wentz do enough jumping and leaping onstage to make the whole event seem like a happy, surreal colony of giddy Fall Out Boy fans with hearts full of joy. It's always awesome to see a band on tour.
With Fall Out Boy's success now, who knows what great things are coming next?

I like Fall Out Boy, and I agree, the album is worth the money...and so were all of their old ones when they came out.
I'm seeing them on the 28th of May. : DD

I think Jay-Z was more of talking at the beginning rather than rapping. Yeah, I love the CD, but I'm in denial about the rap/r&b within. I will only classify it as alternative. it has too much depth to be vaguely rap or r&b

I'm not a big FOB fan, but they've got a few catchy songs. I'm in LOVE with Arms Race (I don't feel like typing out the WHOLE thing), that's a good beat right there.

Finally someone says some good stuff about them. I'm getting kinda tired of people saying "Oh Fall Out Boy are so gay."
Awesome review. ^__^
