Minority got me through

I locked my keys in the car at Walmart today and had no money to call anyone, no cell phone, no spare, and Walmart wouldn't store my cart while I walked the three miles home which includes crossing a 6 line busy highway. My only option was to push the cart home, put my things away, and walk to my friend's house who has my spare key.

I was humiliated at first and I was like, everybody is staring at me.

Tuesday of this week I went to see Green Day in Philidelphia, since then I cannot get enough of Billie Joe and the band so I am not far from my mp3 player (which was currently locked in my car after hitting the gym) and my favorite song Minority.

I started singing Minority on the way home and it's the only thing that kept me smiling and I kept my head held high... I didn't care what anybody thought. Minority got me through and at that time I was definitely THE Minority... as I was the only one walking down a six lane highway pushing a Walmart shopping cart full of food in the middle of the afternoon.

Thanks Green Day, for making me realize the conformity is BORING!

I love you guys
