The Beatles.




This is a song called If I Fell, by the Beatles. It is one of my favorite Beatles songs. I first heard it in Across the Universe sung by Evan Rachel Wood. She sings it with an entirely different point of view but somehow doesn't change the songs meaning entirely. The original song is about a man (John Lennon, I'm assuming) falling in love with a girl and he is asking her to love him more than his last girlfriend loved him and pretty much prove it is worth it to move on to her. In Across the Universe the character Lucy is singing this about Jude who has a girlfriend back in Liverpool that he is leaving to be with her. She is asking if she falls in love with him that he would love her more than his old girlfriend. I like this song because I can relate to it. I feel like I would not be able to move on to another relationship unless the person could eventually love me more than my ex-boyfriend loved me. He loved me so much and it didn't work out, I guess he didn't love me enough. I am afraid to fall in love again and I think the only way I could is if I met someone who is willing to go beyond the way Storm ever loved me.
