Neverending Trail of Nickels.
Sandra Bullock has to be the worst actress, ever.
inb4 "Premonition".
Anyway, as I was going to say, it's occurred to me lately how phony people are.
I went to visit my friend in her Theatre Arts class today, and I saw her teacher talking to a student. The student was very pretty, wearing a low-cut shirt, with the atypical looks;
long, luxurious blonde hair, perfect teeth, thin as can be.
And of course, to live to her stereotype, she punctuated every other word with a resounding "like, um, and..."
She was talking to the teacher, [a male teacher I might add] about if she could go outside and down the hall to help her sporty friends make posters, even though it was class time.
The teacher, in his smooth as butter voice, enthusiastically agreed, and they went on to have a 10 minute conversation about what she was going to do.
After the girl left, my best friend in the entire world, Mary Waters decided to ask the teacher if she could have a pass to the library.
She wanted to check out a book of monologues, since they had to pick one
in the class for them to preform.
May I mention that Mary is not your typical person. She sports a blonde and pink mohawk, rhinestone-studded glasses, and a different obscure punk band T-Shirt every day. [The Birds, was the one of today.]
She politely asked, and even added that it was for the project in the class.
The teacher, who was barely paying attention, by the by, looked at her in disgust and told her to sit down.
People are so phony.
It reminds me of Catcher in the Rye, almost.
Or perhaps, I'm just cynical.

yup, thats what happens, people look for the "prettier people" in life, and then when COOL people (like your freind) come around, they turn the other cheek. but i would choose your freind, to be freinds with any day!!!!!! she sounds so cool!!!!!

I don't think you're exactly cynical.
That's how the world is. People that "fit in" have an easier time.
The thing is, it's not always a bad thing to fit in.
I think fashion is a fascinating thing, and I love to follow it.

I see this every day. I see it with cliques, with race, with gender. It makes me sick.
