Struck Down By Death
My Grandpa is going to pass away any minute. My dad's side of the family is taking a hard hit. My Dad, Aunt Michelle, and Uncle Kevin are the closest to my grandparent's house. My witch of an Aunt Sharon is up from North Carolina, and my Aunt Lynn is going to come up from Florida for the funeral with my cousin's kids, (she is pregnant due any day, will probably need a c-section.) My poor sister is nine years old, and is scared nearly to death. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I cried last night.
The situation is just becoming more of a nightmare because my Aunt Sharon starts crap with all the other siblings. My grandma thinks my Sharon is perfect so she always sides with her. They've never treated my dad with respect or even as a son. My Grandpa was close with my dad and uncle Kevin though.
I'm worried at what my family will come to as my grandpa is lying in a hospital bed in his living room with stage 4 pancreatic and colon cancer, a tumor the size of a softball, and cannot eat, talk, or even move. We've given up hope...they're already scheduling the funeral. Tears fill my eyes as I type. There's nothing I can do.

I'm so sorry, I know what it feels like, it's horrible. Please take care and always look on the positive side, you'll always know that your grandpa will always be loved and in your heart and you'll never forget him. Look after your sister too, get through it together x

Well it was at a point where he didnt get any nourishment, he had completely shut down, and this morning around 2am he past away... my grandmother had some sort of hope but it was like a flash it all happened so fast and we knew it was coming.

I hate to be rude and all, but if you do give up hope, yeah now the worst may happen.
When my great grandma was unable to do ANYTHING, we all dropped everything and went to her bedside. Even if she couldn't remember exactly who we were, we were there for her.
She lived for three months longer than intended.
And the awesome part?
Three days before she died, I got to see her. She hadn't talked again for almost a month, and I got a "I'll be there up in Heaven, waiting for you all to be a family again, Mariah"
She hadn't called me by MY name in years. I was always known as my aunt Shara, because she was living back in the olden days when she was a teacher and played the piano xD
I am really sorry you guys are having such a hard time with this, but 'giving up' as you put it only makes things worse :\
