Easter is coming...
And doesn't it seem like every single year it seems less exciting? I mean, a couple years ago I couldn't sleep the nights before it because I was so excited. Now all that I want to do IS sleep.
I think it has something to do with getting older and more mature or something. But dont ask why I posted something stupid like this. I'm tired, so I'm gonna sleep the next couple of days...
;D

i never have got excited about easter, im not really keen on chocolate full stop. but i agree with GreenDayCookieFairy its been totally commercialised. i thought easter was meant to be a time of remembering the death of Christ as i was taught when i was younger. i think really we should respect more the Christian side of this, that they are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. i am not Christian, but i respect that this is an important time of the year for them, and the whole reason why we celebrate easter is down to their belief.

I've always been able too sleep the night before Easter.
For me it's like.... it's just chocolate.
I can't sleep x-mas eve, EVER EVER EVER.

Easter for me is trivial. It has been comerciallised really. Now all people think about is the chocolate, while being nice is not strictly the best thing. Even if you don't believe in Easter you can still look on what might have happened happened and think what a brilliant story it makes. It doesn't have to be about religion! It just the admiration that after so many years this story is still around and still captivates people's attention year after year.
It's funny, around Easter is always when my birthday is but I don't care about that either. It's not like I ever get anything!

So true. But you know what I noticed...last year I fasted off meat and dairy for the whole 40 days before Easter (you probably know that some branches of Christianity do that, but usually it's only the people over 50 that do the whole thing). I don't know how I did it, but it really got me closer to God, so to speak. Like every day I was thinking about Easter and Jesus. This year though I didn't fast and Easter is just sorta coming and passing for me.
