Mike stopped by the FortMinor.com message boards to comment on his duties as co-composer of the score to MTV's 2005 Video Music Awards and to address rumours of a premiere of Fort Minor music at the VMAs;
as many of you have heard, i'm helping to score the MTV VMAs this year. it's very exciting. it's the first time they've done anything like this--usually the show relies entirely on the music from artists' albums.
this is not your traditional score, though. i made about 10 original short pieces of music for the show, and they will be popping up at various times. i actually don't know where they're being used yet. there are no vocals, just music--varying from rock to electronic to hip hop. i know there are rumors going around about debuting new FM songs -- i won't be performing at the VMAs. but as you have seen, i am starting to play some shows with the new material, so i hope you all can come down when we're near you...

The "live" section of FortMinor.com has been updated with tourdates for some European festivals Fort Minor will be performing during the Summer. So far, six concerts have been confirmed;
August 18th - Brussels, Belgium - Pukkelpop Festival (Dance Hall Stage: 8:10PM)
August 19th - Walibi World, Holland - Lowlands Festival (Brave Stage: 8:00PM)
August 20th - Erfurt, Germany - Highfields Festival (Main Stage: 3:15PM)
August 23rd - London, England - Shepherds Bush Empire (Opening for The Roots: 8:00)
August 25th - Paris, France - Rock en Seine Festival (Main Stage: 4:55PM)
August 26th - Reading, England - Reading Festival (Dance Stage: 7:10PM)
FM are also expected to play the Leeds Festival in England on August 27th as well.
