Your government

since a lot of people here hate their government, oor like it with a few disagreements, what do you think would make your government better?

personally with no jokes involved here.
I think the government should be run by 75% women. (for obvious reasons)

but thats just my own little piece of utopia there

I think that we could make it better by Tony Blair not always doing what Bush wants to do...

I think our government babys us too much, a lot of people here need to try personal responsibility; because we have some of the laziest most apathetic citizens ever..


I think we need ot get rid of the government, and then our citizens should be 99% women

There are too many layers of government.
UN
european government
national government
House of Lords
Local government
local council

The message to the people is lost, how can they know what we want when a piece of legislature takes 2 years to be made law.

I think it would be better if they concentrated on improving eduacation and tackling violent crimes. Also if they gave teenagers and young adults a place to go to in the evening so they wouldn't have to hang around on street corners intimidating other people.

well.. i don't know what could change our government in France, and maybe everywhere cause for me there're as many political parties as people on this Earth. One political party can have 2 or 3 good ideas, the opposite party too, and middle party too.
First, maybe the things might be better if the politicians would respect their promises..

I disagree. Death isn't a punishment, it's just a relief for the murderers. No lifetime in jail with the guilt and despise. If you go and murder somebody, you should be punished, but to me death penalty feels like some release of pain.

..The murderer should undergo what he inflicted on the person. Or maybe suffering as much as the victim and the victim's family did

oh yeah sure, we don't need a system will do just dandy..... are you all completely nuts, it will be complete chaos, there would be no money system, no criminal system. There would be nothing to stop you from getting killed. Plus without any control on the army, another high power control would have to take us over to bring back peace.

so we would be either governed by
Germans
The French
or Americans

Take your pick.

Lower uni rates and transport fees. Stuff that effects young people really. I also think the goverment should try and help people get a job, if you just give them miney they will live off that for a lnog time, it's best if they are found a job toearn their own money.

I think my government should have a better contact with UD( dont know the name in english), and act more quickly in crises. Thinking about the tsunami in Thailand now.
