Being stoned is pretty awesome. Everything feels and tastes better. All your problems lose meaning and you just feel happy.

You only get schizophrenia through smoking dope if you were going to get it later in life anyway.

NeoSteph:
I work in a restaurant and occasionly have to cover the smoking area, it's the most disgusting thing to do.

Imagine a fog of sickness and of course you can't open the windows because the guests complain because of the cold, (smokers can't feel heat)

so the smoke makes the room a furnace and i'm in theory smoking the equvilant of 20 a day. yet i don't touch ciggerettes.

and you might say it's your choice whether to work in a smokey enviroment, well at the moment because i'm studying i have to work in a restaurant and most restaurant are the same, they won't hire you unless you sign a contract stating that you will work in a smoking enviroment.

See thats why I was happy when they brought in the smoking ban into Ireland.
Now atlest when I go to the pub I dont have to move away from smokers. Instead they have to get up and go out into the cold Irish weather and smoke.
It was the best thing to happen in this country for years.

I have no problem with smoking.
I mean its this a free country?
But no they ban it in public places.
Why not ban it all togerther then?
No. Cause they make to much money from the tax on it.
They don't care about our heath they just care about our money.

Personaly smoking isn't for me.
But if other people want to do it its their choice.
It's not your life its theirs.

Oh, it was an excellent idea on the part of the Irish government, I thought. Cool

You know how plastic bags are so bad for the environment? They clog up landfills, take 32965923 years to degrade, make the place look untidy and use up oil resources to make them?. Well, In Ireland the introduced a tax which cut their use by more than 90% and saved a helluva lot of euors in the process. It was a masterstroke, they should do it here. Laughing

I like the idea of that tax, ASDA solution was to make you pay for these embaressing neon green bags that you re-use. I now have about 65 of them Confused

but I find it funny imagining a bunch of politicians discussing plastic bags.

Interesting to note; the don't plan on banning cigarettes in mental hospitals, for obvious reasons. I only knew this 'cause my Mum told me, but hey. Cool

it's also interesting to note that though the law would mean all indoor work places and public places, it doesn't include the house of commons.

There was a fair bit of uproar about that, wasn't there?.

I know it's hypocritical and all, but it doesn't really bother me. Obviously because i'm a non smoker, but also because I doubt i'll ever need to be inside the house of commons for any great length of time so it won't affect me.

There was controversy over it, yes.

It justs another example of the government making one rule for us and another for them.
