I'm just saying it's basically the same number. Since you were the one who brought up smoking vs. car accidents, I think its safe to say you were the one who went onto a different subject... I still don't see any statistics from you yet, either. Making claims and not backing them up is not a good idea if you want to be taken seriously. So can you stop saying 'it's basically the same number' until you can actually prove it?

They know the risks, and if they want to risk it then so be it. And I think it IS right to keep smokers out of certain places. For people who don't smoke, a) it's really unpleasant to breathe it all in, b) it gets in your clothes and your hair, c) it makes your eyes water d) it can affect asthmatics quite badly. I don't see why these people should be made to suffer because other people have picked up afew addictions. Because if you smoke, you haven't got a bubble round your head keeping all the smoke in. If you smoke, everyone around you smokes. And saying smoking isn't as bad as it's made out to be is complete rubbish, imo. Every year 19000 europeans die from smoke related diseases, who don't even smoke. What about someone who works in a bar or restaurant, they'd be around smoke every day for years and it's bound to damage them. It's not fair. You COULD argue that they don't have to work there, but most of the time there's no other option.

Here. yeah, I never trust anti-smoking sites for smoking related "statistics" and if they say that gun related deaths are under 1000 they're fucking liars besides, all this anti-smoking shit is prolonged prohibition it will be the eighteenth Amendment all over again and, of course, the economy will suffer horribly (like the 500,000,000,000 dollars we've lost to anti-pot propaganda) and the underground will sell the shit like crazy think logically, not emotionally if I can detatch my testicles from my brain you can detatch your heart from your brain

Smoking is pretty risky and can really hurt you and the ones you love in the long run, that's what you have to look at.

It does nothing as a) If I'm at home I only ever smoke in my room and b) they all smoke as well. My mother's been smoking for over 60 years, without exaggeration.

Yeah, same here. My parents, my grandma, the people around me...They all smoke. I don't have problems with difficult breathing, asthma or other problems with my lungs.

Thats Good That You've Cut Down Though.... I've Been 3 Months Without A Puff Or Anything Of That Sort, Hell, I Won't Even Hold A Cigarette For A Friend Anymore. I Got My Best Friend To Quit A Month After I Stopped, And He Went 2 Months Without One, And Then Yesterday, He Just HAD To Take A Drag Outta My Friend Jess' Cigarette...I Was Like "Dudeee....So much For Quitting."
