Communism or Capitalism

communism I like its ideas, whether it would work or not is another thing entirely. Capitalism seems to corrupt people but then again so does communism, it abuses equality

Most ideologies don't work too well, like the current capitalism. Also the Chinese version of communism (which isn't really what Karl Marx had in mind anyway.) but I agree with NIN and TheFaggot in a compromise, a nice blend. Fusion!

Unfortunately, communism has a way of morphing into fascism in the space of a few years. Because it seems that, once people get a taste of gigantic power, they exploit it. Or once idealists die, the fucking bags of douche kill off the rest of the idealists and turn the state into a slave state. Sigh.

All any government needs, really, is an idealistic leader who wants the best he/she can get for the country and the people within. Tha'ts what government should be all about.

i have a communist friends who wears a little wristbanmd and made me wear one too cuz apparently it shows taht you support communism or so he says

communism would work in a perfect world where no one tried to exploit it. the ideals are sound. human nature is such however, that someone will always try and exploit it. usually they are in a position of power. thats where the problems start

Any type of government is going to have HOLES in it... I don't think there has ever been a country where everyone of that countries citizens agreed with the governmental system of that country.. and it worked extremely well.

I imagine.. from an outside point of view... Humans would seem to be a nearly imposible civilizations to govern.

I would say Communism because I believe everyone should have equal opportuinities, and shouldn't have priviledges just because they were born into the "right" family or whatever.

Thats the idea of communisim, but in real life that isnt true. Croatia was part of Yugoslavia for a long time and I personally didnt expirience that communisim, but my parents told me about it and its not really how it seems. Equality? Yes its what they tell you, but having only one pair of jeans and two different sweaters to buy so nobody doesnt look different doesnt make us all equal. In communisim the working-class is supposed to hold the society, but thats not true. Ok, capitalisim doesnt exist that much in communisim, but then again you are able to buy only one washing product, jucie ect. You cant choose. The whole country is closed, you cant have anything from other countries unless you go there and buy it there. For example they didnt import Sex Pistols`s Never mind the bollocks... because the government didnt like it so you couldnt buy that record in Yugoslavia and all the other "bad" ones were censured. Communisim isnt a healthy system, but capitalisim isnt as well. Democracy turned into capitalisim and there are too big differences in the world.

I know it sounds like totalitarisim because that`s what it was exactly. The Communism in Yugoslavia was based on Lenin ideas. I just wanted to point out that not all types of Communisim are good.

Like anything, in theory both are perfect. They have to be otherwise they'd never have been put into practice. Unfortunately, practicing involves getting better, and getting better means being not good in the first place.

if i had to choose between those i would choose capitalism. Communist states usually end up being dictatorships,atleast with capitalism theres usually some form of democracy. Socialism is a more realistic option that communism.
