Which reminds me, Kristy, could you possibly upload some Against Me! for me? I just realized I only have one song and I've been wanting to hear more of them. |

I think I saw them when I saw Green Day... can't remember. I know it definitely wasn't MCR and I'm pretty sure it was Jimmy Eat World and Against Me! not sure...i wonder who'll open for the Foo in July it better not be Against Me |

I'm not a hypocrite, I'll openly admit that I often like songs simply because they're catchy. |

Oh that's not being a hypocrite (or hypocite I will always mock your typos)...everyone has to have goofy fun music. I'm with Kristy, I listen to Cake and the Fratellis and a few other bands just because they're catchy and fun and make me happy that's just not the overwhelming majority of my listening.

Imma eat your face. I was talking to my brother yesterday about his punk rock class and we were talking about Punk Rock. I was telling him I don't like it and I don't consider Green Day punk.. at the most they're Punk Pop or something... but they're not punk and he was talking about how he likes the Sex Pistols the most of all the bands he's done... which is kinda odd considering most of his music is the Dead and Beatles and Classic Rock. He said his homework for Spring Break was to listen to songs.. I thought that was so cool. I wanna do music classes in college. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 5438 | March 24th, 2008 at 04:13pm Yeah, Green Day are way too melodic to ever be really considered punk...I mean, they sound a good bit like the Buzzcocks, who were considered punk in their time but really they were more of a pop band who played fast and loud. And there's nothing wrong with that, that's probably how a lot of the bands I like would be described I have certain standards my music has to meet, but I'm trying to be more open minded about it. (it's tough sometimes though, if it sucks it sucks )
Dood, I want to do classes like that in college too |

My brother was showing me all the music classes that were available they had one with the history of rock n roll but i think he said it didn't fit his schedule or something.
Oh so I was looking at the UVM dorms yesterday online (I was bored!). They have dorms that are themed and they have one hall for musicians only and you have to apply and they have 2 practice spaces where you can practice. I'm not gonna apply for that dorm cuz I'm nowhere near as musical as I give myself credit for but hopefully I'll make a friend who lives there |
