My math teacher was all "Oh Metallica is better 'cause they sold more albums" and I kept arguing that selling more albums had nothing to do with it, especially with the Ramones. And then I was like "Well if not the Ramones, then the Sex Pistols completely knock Metallica out of the ring" and Mr. Stockfisch was like "Yeah I'll give you that one." So then I got all excited and asked him what Pistols songs he liked and he goes, "Oh no, I don't know any of them, I just like their name." So that was dissapointing on his part...
Or I hate it when people see me in a Clash shirt and say "Oh I don't know anything by them" and then I mention I Fought The Law or SISOSIG and they're all "OH I love them!" |

Yeah I agree with you both. I have a younger cousin who kind of just follows what the rest of us like, so when she heard I like Green Day she went and got Green Day music, and now she's heard I like The Clash, so she's trying to get into all their music and trying to pretend that she's a big ol' fan, but she's just one of those really annoying kids who you don't really want copying everything you do. And her parents are pretty strict with her, so I think I'll keep the Sex Pistols away from her. But still, it gets annoying having her go "OMG I LOVE I FOUGHT THE LAW" all the time. |
