i don't have a problem with gay marriages. i think that anyone who wants to get married should be able too, same sex or not.

Well Jesus was celibate (so not necessarily Homosexual or Hetereosexual) so even if he did have the hots for guys he never acted upon it. And the church says its ok to be gay, as long as you don't act upon it. So either way Jesus did the right thing and the argument is irrelevant.

Yeah, well, we don't know for sure if he was celibate or not. It was a couple of thousand of years ago, so we really have no way of telling if he was or wasn't.

What about the kids who had their mother die at birth, or their dad in jail...or a parent die when they were tiny little kid...etc. Then they go to an adoption place, then a homosexual couple could go adopt them...do you see?
I really doubt a girl raised by two homosexual guys will be that uncomfortable telling them that at that point. It won't be too weird for her then, she would feel comfortable talking to them about stuff. (as much as anyones willing to talk to their parents about stuff )

hmm, at first i was against homosexual partners adopting, but my opinion has swayed significantly, firstly, i was mainly against it because of the bullying that could happen to the kid, and how the child could feel uncomfortable and, knowing that they are different, but, applying myself to the same situation i came to the conclusion that you love your parents no matter who they are (unless theres some proper reason, not some screwed reason like "they wouldnt let me go to the movies" but you accept your parents for who they are, thier opinions and what they stand for, you may not agree with any of it, but you accept it, they may piss you off to no end, but you accpet them.
Children with gay parents would be the same, they would of grown up with the knowledge they were different, but it would become part of who they are, it helps form their tolerence towards minorities, and would lead a different lifesyle, not necersairily turn out "gay"

Yes, they would get bullied, but they would also have friends, and those friends would be true friends, people you know you can trust, un biased friends, the kind of people who will stick by you no matter what. having gay parents would stop "fake" people being around you.
Being bullied isn't the worst thing in teh world i get "bullied" all the time and it doesnt bother me, the people that do it are narrow minded and selfish and i wouldnt want to be friends with them anyway.
Children need a home and they need love. not a mum and a dad but parents. thats it.

i always thought it was WHO the parents are not what.and i've seen married mother/father couples who are horrid and same sex parents or at least gay parents who i totally wish i could move in with....

really i think we(as people) should be able to have kids if we are going to be correct/nice whatever parents.you should have to take an aptitude test i think...that goes for all parents.


on this note though and is this is the only thing that bothers me.i knew this girl in elementary school,a little younger than me who had 2 mommies.and the other kids were always after her and very cruel.but on the other side of it,if that was more commen place,noone would care.

that's great, but the issue isn't whether or not homosexuals are people, what religion the president is (it would seem important that you people know that the U.S. voted on it....and that many who support homosexual marriage was against the bill because the civil rights were in favor of homosexuals, not making them equal

alright, let's get this straight: in the U.S. underage Catholics are allowed the alcoholic bevarage wine on Sundays because it is a tradition of their religion
athiests and Jews cannot take communion, because they are athiest and Jewish
that doesn't make them inhuman (no jokes about the Pope here please), it just makes them unCatholic

now, the U.S. laws favor different religions like this in little places, but the Jewish tradition of marriage has more favor than any other and that needs to stop
unlike communion, the Jews share this tradition with anyone who marries outside of their gender
now, as we all know, marriage in most countries grants you certain rights automatically

what I think should happen is that homosexuals not impede MARRIAGE, but they are granted full civil rights

civil rights should not be granted automatically through marriage, they should be something you have to get a lawyer for and come in a package

that way the Jews get to keep their tradition sacred the way they want it, and everyone (SELFISH BASTARDS just kidding) get all of those rewards and such that they marry for (which would probably bring the 65% divorce rate down a little, dontchathink?


now, homosexuals get basically every single one of those benefits whether they know it or not (not...most not)
it's easier if they have a lawyer, but if not there are papers to sign about six hours of streneous work at most.....so I know marriage (which is what you all say to pretty up, "civil rights" is not worth that effort which is why I think it should all be offered in one package without taking the Jews tradition and ruining it through divorce and extending it to family and homosexuals

but they can get all of the benefits, it's just harder

I am all for gay marriages. I am gay myself, and even if I "grow' out of being gay, I still feel no matter what kind of equipment you hav or dont have between your legs, you should be able to lvoe who you love. And not be set by some agenda in the bible to change you or your love life.
