I was in RE and a boy stood up and asked the teacher (a hardline catholic) what her views on same sex marriages were. To this she replied "Its not a marriage, its a civil partenership.". Every time he tried reasoning with her she replied "Its not a marriage".
Even though these new laws allow same sex partnerships, do you ever think they will be viewed on a par with marriages? I do, but it seems we will have a long way to go in convincing others.
This is what pisses me off the most about all of the dumasses who try to deny homosexual marriage, by claiming it just as a partnership. It's like trying to deny something that is very real, and that is just bullshit. Denying homosexual marriage is just going to renew the vicious cycle of hate and discrimination that seems to dog the homosexual culture.
well it's not a marriage, thats not saying to people of the same sex don't love eachother but it's not a marriage. Marriage is a biblical union, homosexuality or the act is not viewed kindly so therefore any union of marriage between two people of the same sex would add another layer of hypocracy to worshippers. It's not right to be angry at them, why shoudl they change the view of their faith which 1000's of years old. It's not outdated because you can't change the view of god. |

I am a Christian. I don't see why I shouldn't be able get married in a church that allows it. [And I will be.]
I don't think a church should be forced to perform same-sex marriages.
However, if they choose to I see no problems with it.
because they would be going against their own faith by allowing it. 0_o. fair enough you get the church wedding but do you want to be married under a layer of hypocracy. |
