Age: - Gender: - Posts: 17 | February 17th, 2006 at 10:02am LockedUpInThisWorld:OK, long story. I heard American Idiot a few times before and liked it. I knew it was sung by Green Day, not that I knew who they were. I heard heard BOBD and liked it too, but never knew it was a GD song. My dad (who liked GD at the time) bought me the AI album. Then I got International Superhits and realised that I'd heard She and Waiting loads of times before, and that song my Dad always played in the car was actually Basket Case. I never saw a picture of GD until three months after I started liking them. So yeah, that was six months ago. Since then, my dad has go me into MCR too.
HOLY FUCK YOU HAVE A KEWL DAD!!!! i got into GD by my guitar teacher, my best friends mom, and my tv |

 Age: - Gender: - Posts: 19 | February 18th, 2006 at 12:23pm a really BAD day at work.
as I clocked out at work, I wanted to listen to something loud with guitars (i had mainly dance on my ipod at that time)
i had downloaded American Idiot (song) only, put it on REALLY LOUD and thought "I could do with a lot more of this in my life".
bought the album, read the lyrics and have been addicted Billie's songwriting since. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 6442 | February 18th, 2006 at 04:56pm Believe it or not...school.We had to do a project about the message that music sends and I chose GD because I liked Holiday(esp the lyric "The shame, the ones who died without a name).I thought it was great of them to send an anti-war message, so I listened to some more songs and the rest is history.Thank you SCHOOL! |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 11 | February 19th, 2006 at 12:58pm Since the first time I heard Good Riddance then Warning and Minority, I was always a slight Green Day fan. But I was still young and just getting into music at that time.
When American Idiot came out, I was addicted.
So yeah, I did become the fan I am after AI, but I still own all the albums [well most] & a handful of GD merch. |

I think it was because of Good Riddance that I chose that CD though. lol. But Ive been in love with Green Day ever since. |
