when i was about four or five, my mom would be at work all day and my uncle would be passed out in the living room when he was supposed to be babysitting. i saw "Longview" on MTV one afternoon and i've loved Green Day ever since.   |

Surprisingly, my mom. She heard Good Riddance on a tv show and she was like omg this is the best thing ever and she went out and bought Nimrod and made me listen to it and i really liked it, but i didn't get obsessed until this year.

My dad still plays their music...like, it's normal for me to come home after work and he's sitting on the couch playing 'Minority' or 'Macy's Day Parade'. |
