He also teaches us Social studies, right, and he used to play some of his cds on his laptop when we were working. One day he brought this cd in, which I'd seen/heard before, but not paid much attention too, and he put it on and I recognised the first song from TV and shit, and I'm singing and bopping/head nodding along. He brings it in everyday for the next fortnite, and I eventually go up and ask him (teachers and students are close at our school coz its so small) and I say: "Hey, Mr. Sheridan, can I borrow your Green Day Cd?"
He says, "Sure thing, Jess, but ya gotta ask your mum first."
"No probleamo," I reply. I forget to ask mum, then a week later he brings it back, and I go ask mum, she says sure thing, coz we've got tonnes of cds with swearing and shit (see, it rubs off, lol). So I go ask Sherro (the teacher) if I can still borrow it, and burn it. He says sure, so long as it doesn't get damaged.
So I borrow it, burn it and return the original and play the damn thing day in day out for a fortnight. My lil sis grows to hate 'Give me Novocaine' and thats how I got addicted to Green Day. Thank-you to the american idiots who inspired the album of the same name!!! |
