Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2350 | April 12th, 2006 at 07:15pm Who got me into Green Day? Um... myself. Well i guess VH1 did. I was watching Driven:Green Day because nothing else was on that night. i didn't know much about the three guys that they kept showing on the screen but once i started to watch it, I couldn't stop. I wanted to know everything about them. I loved the sound bites from their CD's and i wanted to get every single one. but, i could have kicked myself for not writing down the names of the Cd's. So I watched it again the next night and loved every minute of it. The first Cd I got was Dookie and I couldn't stop listening to it. So then i got Nimrod and Shenanigans to see if they really were that awesome. I LOVED Nimrod, so naturally i had to get Kerplunk, Insomniac,Warning,International Superhits, and American Idiot. I didn't get 1039 smoothed out slappy hours until St. Patricks Day this year though-they said it was out of print here so i went on ebay and ordered it from the UK.And so began my Green Day obsession(which has no end in sight.) |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 9 | April 13th, 2006 at 05:53am Well, like a few of you guys, my sister. She's younger than me, but I was never realy introduced to that kind of music, and my sister really got into it. She used to just leave Kerrang! on all day, and I eventually really got hooked. She loved Blink first, and I took a liking to Green Day and once I found out more, I was addicted. My sister loves Green Day now, but not as much as I do. She really likes Tre, but got reli angry when I told her what he said about Blink in interviews n crap. I was so inspired by how they got where they are today from when they were kids, I stuck with it. And I'm staying with it. |
