Posts: 80 | September 24th, 2006 at 11:12am hmmm, it was last year i think, twoards august or october. one of the two,, adn id heard green day before but i wasnt really like, into listening to music that much so i watched fuse one day and it said they were having a greenday martathon all leading up to their fused concert. so i watched it, and watched it, and watched it. i saw everything about 3 times and then the concert came along and i just ahd to see it. so i watched it. then i watched it again the next day, and from then on i just kinda fell in lovwe w green day. but the love is starting to wear off. o well, they were my first infatuation pretaining to music. |

 | September 27th, 2006 at 12:15pm Well, in eighth grade, my friends were always talking about American Idiot and Green Day and I'd be like "huh? Wtf?".
So one day, I was doing my math homework in the living room. And I decided to pee. On my way to the bathroom, my brother changed the TV channel to MTV2. And I saw this strange, short man playing the guitar. And then he sang. And I stood there and forgot I had to pee. I fell in love right there. And when the thing came on and said "American Idiot. Green Day", I felt like...I dunno. I knew I was in love. And now I have most of their albums from Reprise (don't have IS or Shenanigans or BIAB).
New fans aren't always teenies. Sometimes, we're just in love. |

My friends Ashynn and Susan wanted to switch CDs (Dookie, plus an MCR CD and The Used) so I burned them for them and thus Dookie was my first Green Day album... that was one of my favorite CDs at that point. So through the rest of that year I liked them, but wasn't really so very into them, and I started getting really into them around the end of last school year when I finally got back in touch with Ash after a while of not knowing where she was after the hurricane... I'm in 10th grade now, and so I technically haven't been a fan that long, but it feels like forever... Green Day helped me through a really rough time, and now Ashlynn is one of my best friends.  I love you, Ash!!!! |

When I first started hanging out with her 2 years ago, she'd start talking to me about Billie Joe and how much he rocked, and how much AI rocked. I was like, "WTF? Who the hell is Green Day? And what kind of name is Billy Joe?" and then I heard their song 'Bolevard of Broken Dreams." I mean, I had heard it before, but I really listened to it, and it just clicked. I was obsessed. I learned how to spell Billie Joe's name, and I bought Dookie before I bought any other CD. And yes, I am still obsessed. So HA! I win! |

so i went trough every thing to find that song. i learned to sing it. and well instead of just learning that song and getting hte guy i became obsessed. that was just the time he started to hate Green day, so i didnt get the guy.
before that i saw them in the news paper and read the article,but i was just like....ewww....ther are so freakin ugly.....but the one dudes kinda cyoot and so its that other 1.

ya i just heard americn idiot on the tv and i was blown away then on the radio i heard a preview of blvd of broken dreams and that christmas i got the album
though i had heard and like songs like basket case and good riddance i never knew who they were and on some kids tv channel nickelodeon they used a part of prosthetic head for some ad so i used to always sing it when i was younger 
before i listened to green day i pretended to all my "friends" i listened to chart music and stuff, i really regret doing that but i was just a kid ... well i still am
i used to listen to jazz though before green day |
