Who Got You Into Green Day?

i had heard of them before. i heard american idiot on a football video game and i liked it. i heard bobd on the radio but i never really cared much for it but it was sorta catchy. i really like holiday in a way so that sort of made me realize who green day were. i then found out that they sang time of your life which i had always liked and found out that it was really call "good riddance" and i didnt know they sang "waiting" or "when i come around" either. Then i heard wmuwse and just loved it. My mom's exbf had dookie so that was my first cd since i got it from him. of course he hates ai and hates them now but i still like them. later on i got ai, superhit, and shenanigans yesterday. so i guess my mom (for giving me GR(TOYL)) my moms ex (for giving me dookie) and me (for listening to radio) got me into green day! And also a few listeners and fans at school.

Matt Willis actually got me into Green Day. go matt. on that level i think Busted did their job.

My best friend but I'd heard American Idiot somewhere before but I didn't know who it was by. But she showed me one day when I went round her house and she had this massive green day poster on her bedroom wall. But I didn't start to like them just because she did, despite what a lot of my friends who are no longer my friends think!

Kerrang! Ya. I was watching kerrang and Basket case kept coming on, so I just kept listening to it and I started to love them so I searched their ongs and bought Dookie and it went from there xD

ill have to say my dad coz i was litening to his radio when i first heard 'when i come around' when i was 7.

The radio. I heard Good Riddance and loved it.

someone i knew goes "i love that new Green Day song!" i went "who?"and one of my friends had A.I in her bag and i was bored so i took anthor girls cd player and listened through all of art class.then i borrowed the album and listened some more.and i kept think "this is evil music.just evil.but really addictivly evil." and so i got a burned copy.then i warped it somehow.so i bought dookie.i have them all.they converted me.and the rest is herstory.

Dookie came out when I was two and ever since I can remember he played Basket Case in the car. We both love Green Day!

Why is everyone saying they did?
If you found out of them because you where on Wikipedia, Wikiepedia did it.
If You heard the song on MTV, MTV did it.
You had to be influenced by something to get into them.

My brother was a big fan of basket case so i listened to it and the rest of their stuff and i love them now so i guess my brother got me into them

i can thank the radio. and maybe my parents. i think they used to own Dookie, because the first time i heard Longview on 94.9 Zeta (we will miss you...but 93.1 is better) i knew every word by heart. weird, actually.

and I can thank Nick for telling me about 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk!, because if he hadn't told me that day back in sixth grade, i wouldn't have known they existed. but BOBD is what got me hooked. once again, thanks to Zeta. so, a lot of things got me hooked. i got Hailey, Taylor, Amanda, and a bunch of other people hooked, too. its a good feeling to know you improved somebody's life.

i guess blink 182, since i didn't become a big green day fan until after i saw them on the pop disaster tour with blink 182 in 2002. i liked them a bit before that, but most of the songs i liked it didn't even know were by them.
