 | April 15th, 2006 at 07:39pm Is anyone else as obesessed with Edgar Allan Poe as I am? I absolutly love his work and I think Tell Tale Heart is the BEST horror story around. It's not even the murder that is that creepy, I think. I think that it's how insane the guy is that creeps me out. How about you?

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 5896 | April 15th, 2006 at 09:58pm Edgar Allen Poe's pretty cool. He's a very fascinating person. I try not to read too many of his stories though. They're great, but they scare the piss out of me. It was amusing cuz right after I read The Tell Tale Heart one of my floorboards started squeaking. |

I loved the Black Cat.. We read it for my English class on Halloween.
Another good Poe story is this one where a guy is having a party and there are these different rooms of different colors.. I don't know the name, but it sounded so cool. |

I spend hours on there reading his stuff. I love love love The Cask of Amontillado. Montressor scared the living piss out of me. He's one creeepy dood. memorized Eldorado. Possibly my favorite of his. Annabell Lee, of course, is classic.
But the Tell Tale Heart is creepy beyond all. Man, that's like...well, its obvious the man was insane. There is a fine line between genius and insanity and I think Mr. Poe crossed it... |

That scared me quite a bit aswell. |
