Posts: 4608 | April 18th, 2006 at 11:49pm I know it sounds crazy, but they are planning to build a hotel orbiting earth, to be launched in pieces from japan and set up by astronauts, its going to be completed in the year 2040.
What are your thoughts on this? I think its stupid, people would have to train to be able to be in space for months or years or whatever before they go, and why would you want to be in a hotel in space?  ... |

I agree completely.
Lots of better things could be done with the money - like helping people in 3rd world countries or saving animals.
Yeah, if it didn't cost anything, and didn't waste any resources, then fine. But as well as using up money, think of all the fuel they will need to get the pieces up there, and we're running out of fuel as it is. |
