I kinda agree about The Rolling Stones....they are much better than The Beatles, and thet just...well...Im not gonna say suck, but...their songs are boring....

don't you guys get it? how many times do I have to tell you that there is no rating system for bands, they are in different genre's and you cannot compare them that way. Even if they were in the same genre you couldn't compare them because they make different music

Ok. Over and rated are two different words with two different meanings.
But together, they mean something different than what the two seperate words mean. They aren't comparing bands, they are saying which ones are overrated, and I think in this instance, by that they mean which bands does everyone like who infact aren't all that good, or aren't unique, good, special, whatever enough to be liked by all those masses of fans

if you ask me, "classic rock" is a bullshit term. Music can be considered classic without being old, and vice versa.

I wanna know, where's it witten down that bands will be rated in a certain way to determine if they are overrated. And how do you rate a band? I want to know how you've been rating these bands, considering they are in diffrent genres and have different musical styles.

I'm obviously not educated enough, to know. So how is a band rated?

Also overrated is a term used for machinery. So when did overrated become a term used freely on different subjects?

An overrated band is a band that people think are amazing and hot-shit, but they are not. They're placed on a pedastal, they are highly rated. They are rated higher then what they are. Therefore they are overrated. This thread is about sharing our opinions of which bands fall under that category. Geddid?
