I want to say now that I find rhyming really hard, so some of my rhymes aren't perfect... but I think they work.  Her faerie heart has always been better suited to heavy metal rhythms, ripped lace, and angel sleeves. She's drenched in leather and pretty kisses of blackened kohl; stripped of traits held by her ancestors. Magic princesses are never painted as soft, introverted sweethearts. She gets so sick on dizzy vanity; reduced to coughs and near collapse with the stress of it all. Faeries need guardian angels just like anyone else. To catch her when she falls, stroke her wings, realign her lace and spikes... You didn't honestly expect her to rule an entire monarchy, did you? |
