| June 18th, 2006 at 06:28pm For you, Nick, for being so nice and helpful. And for making me feel better about myself. AND for being a wonderful person, in general.
Ballad of Reverie
Do take my hands and bet on my devotion,
Sometimes I win yet feel like I'm losing,
And all these cards keep snickering before me,
The surprises of life stopped being amusing.
My rushing heart; vibrating down Broadway.
Perhaps it's the sidewalk it should be kissing.
My praised metaphores seem so over rated
Now that my inspiration is going missing.
You're so beautifully indifferent, unlike me;
No cautiously sewn fabric can cover my nude sin.
Someday I'll re-teach myself about dreaming.
And even when I lose, it will feel like I win. |

| June 18th, 2006 at 06:35pm I loved the whole losing, winning thing. The whole poem was great; I really don't know how you do it. You've got so much talent. |
