 | June 20th, 2006 at 04:33pm Warning, this is one very disturbing poem. Eep.
These poor pitiful newborn babes
are bundled into my care.
Many won't see six.
I'm too compelled in my duty
to think of the cruel parents.
A few milligrams of morphine,
A dribble of insulin in a drip.
A few struggling moments
beneath a barrier of pillow.
I release them from their chains.
In fleeting moments of insanity,
I feel somewhat remorseful.
I ask myself in these times,
"Am I right in my actions?"
I put these empty thoughts
outside my head.
I'm saving them.
Such a sweet euthanasia,
that should have been
an earlier abortion.
I envy my patients. |

Actually, I'm really interested in what inspired you to write about something like that.
Anyway, it would be a decent poem if it wasn't that subject. But whatever, I'm sure some people will dissagree. |

I watched this docomentary on this nurse who went and killed or attepmted to kill little kids in this intensive care unit. I don't even know why I wrote it but I thought it be different to say the least and I am not giving this is as a celebration or whatever but I thought it'd be interesting to try and show something in her POV even though many, myself included, feel disgusted. |

| June 20th, 2006 at 07:31pm Mmhm, that was really interesting. It's nice, though disturbing in this case, to read something different once in a while. I guess I like it. xD |

The subject is horrible, as we know, but the poem is great. |

It's disturbing and dark, and I just went and gave my baby cousin a hug.
But it's unique, and well written, and it was brave of you to try to put yourself in her shoes. Good job. |
