How about just plain un-original green day? It's about time they have a self titled album

Not that it'd be unoriginal, but .. dno, it would take the fun out of the title stuff.
I actually think that would be a great idea.
They've made what is possibly the best record of their career, now its time to drop the punk stuff and just become one of the best rock bands of all time. The way to do that is to take your new style one step further and make it your own with a self-titled album.
Alot of people would despute you and Say American Idiot is the worst record they have ever made in their carrerr and maybe they should quit trying to be a big rockand roll band and do what they are good at and make punk rock.
But those people are idiots and don't know what they're talking about. Some of these kids should drop the "Green Day are punk" act right now. Because NO they're not 'punk' they're a kick arse rock band. They may have used to be a punk band, but they have evolved, without selling out, into something so much more awesome.

Not every single person in this world has to agree with you, plenty of people dislike American Idiot, and you don't know them, so how you can say they are idiots is beyond me...
it's judgemental to think that anyone who doesnt like American Idiot "doesnt know music when it bitchslaps them in the face" because I know some very music geared people who hate it. People in successful bands dislike American Idiot.

they arent going to give it a name until they`ve written it. dont believe all the rubbish you read on websites or in the magazines or whatever. its usually based on wishful thinking or somebody miss hearing something.

closest estimates is early 2007 so far. highly doubtful it will come out this year. possible late this year but I have to say I highly doubt it.
I`ve submitted a question about what point they actually name an ablum. I`m sure somebody will say if it does get answered. doubt it will be answered but you never know.
I dont think they even have a working title right now. they will have to get a lot further into the whole writing process before the do that. and the official title wont come until they decide on the track list.
