But do we have to stoop down to their level? It's one thing to say "I would be pissed off/freaked out/enraged because I don't like rap/hip hop music." I don't mind if someone says "They're out of their minds because the music they make now is so awesome, why would they change?"
But it's entirely different and completely music-ist to say "Rap/Hip hop sucks. I wouldn't believe it. It would suck because all of that music sucks and should die die die. I hate all rappers and hip hop music. All of it. It should die." That's not right. That's irrational hatred.
I mean, I agree it would be funny to see Green Day rapping, and it might even be kinda cool, but it really bums me out that people keep making these "DOWN WITH RAP" kind of comments. |
