SHOW: Miami Ink

Anyone else a fan?

My career goal is to be a tattoo artist and I was told I should watch some of the tattoo shows they have on TV. I don't really like Inked, but I fell in love with Miami Ink.

All the artists are great but Kat Von D is my favorite. She specializes in portraits and I'd like to do that, too. Drawing people is lots of fun. ^_^ Plus I think it's cool that she works at three different tattoo parlors in three different states, and she parties with the members of HIM. She's even tattooed them. And someone from the Misfits, if I remember correctly.

The other day I sent Kat a message on MySpace saying that I love her work and stuff. And I sent her the picture I drew of her (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g53/crackhead1618/Picture.jpg) and she liked it. She said it was rad and she was gonna print it out. Haha. That made my day. I didn't even think she was gonna reply.

Anyway... who's your favorite artist on the show? Any favorite tattoos?

And Yoji is an artist now! How cool is that? Haha.

Defintely a fan of this show. I love watching it. It focuses so much more on the tattoos itself and the meaning behind them, unlike Inked. Chris Garver is probably my favorite...he's just an amazing artist. His sketchings, tattoos, everything - they're all just so breathtaking.

Oh, and I love your picture of Kat! Its cool that she replied and said she'll even print it out.

I missed the newest episode though. My boyfriend came over and I forgot it was on. =( Stupid boys.

i've only seen it once at a friend's house cuz i don't have the channel. it was a really cool show and i was sad that it would be the only time that i'd be able to watch it.

I don't have cable so I can't watch it but it used to be one of my favorite shows. I like how they go into the story, and Kat's portraits are amazing.

OMG! I LOVE THAT SHOW! Everytime I watch I want to get a tatoo more and more. And if I got one I'd I would want to go there, but that is far to go for a tatoo. From Pennsylvania to Florida. I know people have traveled farther, but is it worth it.
