And why people think they should be 'ashamed'. I still listen to Britney Spears, this coming from someone who's obsessed with Slayer and Metallica. Just because something doesn't 'fit in' with your ideal image, doesn't mean it wasn't/isn't any good. the reason i am ashamed of once liking pop, country and rap is because its like a pride thing for me. my self image is horrible as it is and to add the fact that i used to like music that i can't even stand to hear now... it just makes me feel even more self concious(sp?) that might not make sense, but i tried to explain as best as i could.
