 | August 10th, 2006 at 08:26pm This has got to be one of the best movies ever and I am surprised there isn't already a thread for it.
Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller, a high school kid who's tired of going to school and so has a long career of pulling off fantastic fake sicknesses to fool his parents and teachers. The movie is set oh his 9th sick day of the year. He pulls of another amazing performance, one he calls "One of the worst performances of my career" and goes on with his usual antics. But in Ferris's school, 9 days of abvsency is unacceptable, so both Ferris's principal, Ed Rooney, and his sister, Jeannie, are trying to catch him in the act of faking it.
Alan Ruck as Ferris's lovable and cautious best friend Cameron Frye, who lives in a house torn apart by parental fighting. Cameron is also qabsent from school a lot, but for different reasons. Cameron is so afflicted by his parents, mainly his dad, that he's convinced himself he's very sick and is going to die. Ferris has managed to get him out of bed on his numerous days off, although with a lot of coaxation.
The movie is really excellent and you should all go buy it.

"I did have a test on European socialism. I find it pointless. I mean, I'm not European, I never plan on being European, so who the hell cares if their socialists? The could be facist anrchists and it still doesn't change the fact that I don't have a car." |
