The light on your face like a black and white film
Slowly flickering and yet so deceiving
The gleam in your eye hides what's inside
It blinds me but I can't look away
Is this rehearsel or for real this time?
Are those words yours or from a script?
A clock strikes midnight and the cameras roll
But I can't play my part tonight
This is the tragedy of you and me
This is real-life entertainment
We're the only people in this scene
And we'll be here ''til the curtain closes

I'm looking for a way out
And your anger burns slowly like incencse.

Step off the stage and into reality
I've hinted and done foreshadowing to death

I'm tired of saying th same old lines

No special effects or glory now

They say the show must always go on
But you'll have to do that without me
I'll have no more of this fake scene
And I'm sick of relying on drama
