spellcheck ~~ Any highschool kids best friend in English class.
Spellcheck and autocorrect only make more mistakes. If people actually proofread (you know...with like...reading?), and read stuff out loud and had someone else read it...
Geez, we'd be in good shape, wouldn't we?
The only thing is, we'd have to teach people how to use the English language correctly and effectively--it's proven difficult.

Well obvioulsy proofreading is always positive when handing in pieces of work. But if you didn't know how to spell a word in the first place and your sure you've spelled it correctly then your not going to pick up on it and most importantly someone else might not either, so programmes like spell check help.

The English language differs on how it is taught for example I've had teachers who prefer everthing in point of view and believe that is the correct narrative and those who believe second person is more fitting. Also everyone makes mistakes the best authors in the world have to have their work corrected and i'm pretty sure they use spellcheck.
