Big D and the Kids Table is a third wave ska band formed in October 1995 in Allston, Massachusetts on the Springman Records label. Members of Big D also run the Boston, Massachusetts area record label, Fork In Hand Records and Asian Man Records which has released numerous albums from Big D and other Boston artists. The band's music often reflects member's personal lives, especially the financial difficulties that many members had faced in the past. In 1999, they won Boston Music Awards distinction of "Outstanding Ska Band." Since 1997, Big D has put on an annual Halloween Show (co-headlining with Kicked In The Head until their dissolution in August 2005) in Boston. They have participated on the Warped Tour for several years (and will be heading out with the tour again in 2007), Summer of Ska Tour 2006 and the Ska is Dead tour, sharing the stage with some of both punk and ska's elite underground bands.

Upcoming anticipated Big D releases include Beijing To Boston, a split EP with Brain Failure due in February 2007[citation needed], a new album titled Strictly Rude[citation needed], a long-gestating CD entitled Strictly Dub[citation needed], and a DVD[citation needed].

They have toured in support of such bands as Catch 22, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mustard Plug, and Rancid, and, in 2007, will be heading out on a US tour in support of Anti-Flag.

Group members:

David McWane — Vocals
Sean P. Rogan — Guitar, Backing Vocals, Flugelhorn
Steve Foote — Bass
Jon Reilly — Drums
Dan Stoppelman — Trumpet
Ryan O'Connor — Tenor Saxophone
Paul E. Cuttler — Trombone

Paul gave me his bandana! Very Happy

He told me to keep it cause it was special and he rarely ever gives stuff away. That concert was awesome, even though Ryan and Dan had some troubles getting into Canada and couldn't be there. Well, hey, Matt from the Planet Smashers was there! Yay! We both went to get a drink at Loeb and talked, even thought it's just Loeb. That was a great concert though. My friends opened for them. I think they're like good now. Fleeba, good band. Check them out.

Bedouin Soundclash also performed at that concert. Sooooooo good. Go see them too.

Big D were really funny at the concert...must've been Warped Tour 2004. They were taking a detour away from the tour, and talking to Dave, and I totally agreed with him, he said the Warped Tour keeps getting suckier and suckier. He said it was awesome back when Sublime and The Descendents would be on, but now, he said there were only horrible emo bands, and the only other band apart from them worth seeing was the Dropkick Murpheys. I love him, he speaks the truth.

Because I have 'connections'. Meg It's something our family is very good at. When I was staying in England, my great uncle got me a 200 pounds per night room at 20 pounds. Mr. Green

I just get to know a lot of people. I go out a lot. Even here in Thailand, I met a producer who works for Sony and gets me a load of promos to listen to and stuff to comment on. I got my friends some recording time too, because of that. I think it's because I'm just that much charismatic! tehe

That's what I used to do.

...That and climb in from the backs through the broken window in the men's bathroom of Maverick's (Cafe Dekcuf), an awesome rock/punk/ska/awesome club, too. tehe

But when ever I do that, I always buy band merchandise, cause otherwise it's unfair. I am known in and around Ottawa though. Right now, even though I don't live there, I get money for buy cheap market stuff that people ask me to buy and then I send to them. Very Happy
