 | February 13th, 2007 at 03:54am I'd like to start off by saying that I am in love with this song. Letterbomb and Whatsername are the two best songs on American Idiot, in my opinion.
The meaning of this song is self-explanatory. Jesus is reminiscing about Whatsername and is thinking about how their lives would be if they had stayed together. (Might I add that if you're in the right mood and are listening to this song at the right time, you can burst out in tears. I know this by experience. x]) Well anyways, this was pretty much a pointless entry but I figured I'd throw my two cents in anyways. =] |

| February 13th, 2007 at 05:19pm yea, it is pretty sad. but i think if u listen to it at the end of the day, before you go to sleep, you'll associate yourself with your own personal Whatsername. maybe a friend that moved away, or a grandparent that has passed on, or an Ex-.
that's how it is for me anyway. |

The song "Letterbomb" is about a letter that Whatsername wrote to Jesus to break up with him. Whatsername and Jesus/St. Jimmy actually dated, and the song "Letterbomb" describes the letter she wrote to him to tell him that it's over. |
