Rotting On Here Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 48258	June 24th, 2007 at 12:14am I know this has been inactive for a long time but I'd like to say my two absolute favorite musicals are ______ Phantom of the Opera ______ Mamma Mia I just watched the Phantom of the Opera movie tonight and it kinda reminded how much I adored the play/musical/blockbuster all together. Everything about it, the scenery, the performances, and the music is jaw-droppingly intense. To me, the Phantom of the Opera is the epitome of classical mainstream. Ok, I'm done making no sense. XD

Avenue Q is awesome too (hey that rhymes) but if I went with my parents they'd never let me go to a musical again. Siren Slander.: Urine Town. My school did a production of Urinetown...it was pretty interesting. Hehe.

I think my favorites are A Chorus Line, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, The Music Man, The Producers, Avenue Q, and 1776. 1776 has been one of my favorites for almost eight years. I like Moulin Rogue, as well, but It isn't a favorite. The only musicals I've seen that I didn't like were Cats, Joseph and the Techni-Colored Dreamcoat, and RENT. I really don't see why those three are so popular, but I guess they are. EDIT: I forgot about Annie. I really really dislike that show. It's too cliched and over-done.

Some school governer gave us free tickets. Was minttt. I also like Chicago, but when I went to see it I forgot my glasses, so I couldn't see anything XD

Should I? What's it about? if you like lots of song an dance, DEFINATELY Acceptance. Set in the 60's it deals with race and other 'issues'. Tracy [the main character] is a larger girl who only wants to dance and "fairness" [i couldn't think of a better word]. She falls in love with her crush [my ava] and of course it has a happy ending. Its really hard to explain without giving stuff away.
