But what I said was that you can guarantee the order and aurors used avada kedavra in the first war, and they weren't evil. You just have to be powerful. I mean, yes, with the cruciatus, Bellatrix is right in that righteous anger won't hurt for long, because it's such an evil curse, no matter which way you look at it. And it was Harry's first attempt at casting it, so it's probably quite amazing that he got anything, add that to the fact that he wasn't in a focussed mindset, and he's not as powerful a wizard as he is now, then yeah, he wouldn't have been able to do much damage.
These days though, I think he could pull it off.
And Vagphobic, I kind of agree with you, I just think it's inevitable. I think she's too interesting to go, but too evil not to get her come uppance. |

Rodolphus is a minor character though, so we can disregard him and ship Bella/Voldie.
