occultculture Banned ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 103 ![]() | If showers make you clean, then why do you put the towels in the dirty clothes hamper? |
Dr.Hymen Geek ![]() Age: - Gender: - Posts: 192 ![]() | ^ cause you dry your wobbly bits with them towels. |
occultculture Banned ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 103 ![]() | ^ but you're clean, so it shouldn't matter. |
Incubus Jackass ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 1820 | occultculture: Yeah but other people use those towels, I'm guessing you wouldn't want your dad's crotch hair getting on your face... |
occultculture Banned ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 103 ![]() | Incubus: Impossible; my dad is 6 feet under ground. |
Incubus Jackass ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 1820 | occultculture: ![]() What's any of this got to do with philosophy anyway? |
occultculture Banned ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 103 ![]() | Incubus: It wasn't a pity party, I didn't ask for your remorse. It has quite a bit to do with philosophy, it's a question that requires an answer that you need to think about, inb4 "why is the pizza box square" |
Incubus Jackass ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 1820 | occultculture: You still brought it up even though I was not asking about your father but using a random generic example. Bring up a dead loved one in the middle of any discussion kind of scream "attention seeking". Quote No it really doesn't require too much thinking; towels are washed for many reason. We've already covered the whole body hair thing, and common courtesy towards the people you live with, then there's the fact that most people aren't cool with drying their face with something that been drying their personal areas. Then you can also use towels to dry puddles on the floor of the bathroom, and the floors are probably not very clean. Plus towels pick up some shampoo and soap residue and they'll start to smell after a while. That didn't require any deep thinking, it's common sense. |
occultculture Banned ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 103 ![]() | Incubus: No, I just find humor in death. Are you SRSLY trying to say what people can and can't philosophize about? |
occultculture Banned ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 103 ![]() | On another note: What is the intuition of truth in philosphy? |
Incubus Jackass ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 1820 | occultculture: Are you seriously trying to philosophize about towels? Yeah, that's some real Plato shit right there. You should try looking a bit deeper than the 'Little Book of Dumb Questions' next time. |
Dr.Hymen Geek ![]() Age: - Gender: - Posts: 192 ![]() | Actually I understand where occultculture is coming from. I understand the meaning behind. The answer to the question is more then obvious yes, but it poses a foundation for other such question that are consistently being brought up in amateur philosophy discussion. Why is the box square? If it's zero degrees outside today and it's supposed to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold is it going to be? Is the glass half full or half empty? They may or may not sound like questions from the "Little Book of Dumb Questions", but the fact remains, they all pose the same impact as the towel question. Why? being the key word. |
