1. Holiday on a Peter Andre program
and
2. East Jesus Nowhere on the ITV2 advert
WHY?! what is this world coming to?
Has anyone else noticed anything?

Does it really matter... at least they're on TV or whatever.
MTV over here had a thing were the girls from the Hills took over and played their favorite songs, the add for it had Johnny Knoxville with photoshopped on earrings, handbag and stuff and Billie in the 21 Guns video only his guitar was pink. I just thought it was funny. And was like 'Yay, this is one of their favorite songs.' ...meh. |

That's basically my two favourite things ever.

That advert sounds amazing.
I think it's kinda the point that it's funny - the juxtaposition of Green Day and something unexpected.
I don't think it's like "Oh my gosh they don't adore Green Day or know of their amazing-ness, how dare they use that song!"
It's more "How odd//funny/unexpected to hear Green Day here... but how lovely!"
Which I think is something to do with the fact that they weren't very popular or mentioned in mainstream media very much until a few years ago - it's still a surprise to hear them on tacky TV soaps like Hollyoaks  |

I think I've heard the same one,
I was sat with my Grandparents and it came on I was like OMG YAY! Green Day, They just looked at me like okay ...
But it annoys me that they alter the song, change it round just to fit the advert. |
