Now, if this was a white person saying these things about black people, there would be headlines and signs and debates on TV, but since this is a black man, the media ignores it or feels that it may be "justified" because of the history of black people being oppressed by white people..

So how do you feel about this?
Do you feel that it's okay for him to say this? Is he right? - Should black people unite and form a system to kill white people before white people exterminate them?
Is his opinion justified because of blacks being oppressed in the past, or should everyone just get over it and look to the future and ignore skin-color and ethnicity?

Racism is racism. Regardless of whoever suffered more before.
As far as I know, the africans sometimes sold defeated villagers to the slave traders back in the 17th Century. They, this way, endorsed slavery and nullifies any argument they have to defend themselves.
It is very, VERY retarded to say that black people actually can diss on white people just because of their background as slaves. It's racial hate nevertheless, and does not make black people superior in any way.

People like that annoy the hell out of me. I hate when a black person can say things like that but if a white person did, it's a big deal.

This, and I feel like it doesn't matter what race or background you have - if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

yeah, obviously a whole race can't be held responsible for what their past generations did, if you take that attitude then we'll never get anywhere.

I was thinking about when he says, in the video, that white people want to kill them. We have systems and plans and no matter who we are, we want to kill them, it's like, in our nature or something. And the thing about smoking - that it's our little agenda to slowly kill black people by giving them lung cancer or something, but the thing is.. white people smoke too..

So yeah, I think he's really ill-informed, and I think it's unfortunate that other people were clapping in the background to what he was saying. That doesn't help anything or anyone.

Also, this speech was broadcast in 2006. I'm not saying the fact that it happened four years ago lessens the notoriety of what he was saying, but i'm wondering if there are any more videos/transcripts/articles etc that are more recent?

I don't think it's right whether it's black people talking about white people or white people talking about black people. Any type of racism is wrong to me. I hate the fact that people were separated by their skin colour and still are, just cause somebody looks different doesn't make them any less important. That's like people with brown hair saying "LETS KILL ALL BLONDE PEOPLE", everyone would think that's stupid so why should it be any different on what colour your skin is?

He says in the beginning he's going to go "out of bounds" so he assumed it wouldn't be accepted. He sounds nuts to me though, talking about murdering and the smoking thing.

You don't even know how much it pisses me off that it's seen as okay for african americans to call white people different names that are infact racist. I don't think that white people should have to put up with it just because of something that our ancestors did years and years ago. Racism is racism no matter what colour your skin is, and it's not acceptable for anyone.

Despite the fact that slavery is done and over and pushed to the back of everyones minds, the fact is that racism ESPECIALLY against African Americans is still a very big issue in the united states. More so that racism towards Asians, Natives, etc.
Obviously that's not to say that anyone gets the right to go on free reign hating spree against whites. That's like hating all present day Germans just because of the Nazis.

true, the ones nowadays weren't slaves
but they still get an unrivaled amount of racism towards them, and that is fact.
