Put in it's simplest form there are two kinds of abuse: Emotional and Physical.
But emotional abuse is a lot more complicated than just telling someone they're shit all the time. It can be a lot more convoluted and appear much more subtly.
Criticism, isolation from friends and family, throwing away your belongings, humiliation, undermining, limiting access to things that would make you independent (money/work), stealing from you, pressuring for sex/to do things. All these things help the abuser maintain control. So yeah. It's a lot more complicated. |

Are you turning around and asking kid outside what they think of abusive relationships as a response? Because that's what it sounds like. Posters of domestic abuse could tell you more than what you just "pointed out". Advertisements on TV could tell you more than what you just "pointed out". A DOG could tell you more than what you just "pointed out".

These are GIRLS saying this. So I'm thinking, what justifies getting hit? People have different opinions of things, so anything could set an abusive person off. Obviously, these girls don't know what they are talking about when they say this.
It's almost rare to see a situation where the man is being abused, I've only seen instances where the man will be walked all over; continuously putting up with a cheating girlfriend or things lk that.
It's never okay to be in that type of relationship. I'm glad I've never been in one.
