Terminal Preppie Geek ![]() Age: - Gender: - Posts: 457 | rar: "you can murder a murderer but you can't murder murder itself" in your language: you can't bitch to a bitch to stop her from being a bitch <-- okay that was more confusing.. but still now to my point.. these people are dead reguardless of the circumstanses of their death they should be honored.. maybe not like a fuckin ceremony everyday to remember them or shit but just a grave site.. just a fuckin grave, everyone else gots a grave why not them? okay yeah evilness.. evilness.. evilness.. got it but their mistakes make it so new ones won't occur. things happen for a reason... what's done is done and nothing you say or think is ever going to change that. just leave them be they won't hurt you, promise |

a-dawg. Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 7070 | I've been to those graves and yeah, its a disgrace to do that, it's also a disgrace to see how unkempt the German graves are compared to the British. |
a-dawg. Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 7070 | rar:In those wars you didnt really have a choice. If you were a German, it was either fight or be shot. |
anti-christ of suburbia Idiot ![]() Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 986 ![]() | Lonely Angel <3: same if you were British, you got conscripted into the army, the only way out was get shot by a German, or get shot by your own men for desertion. or survive until the war ended, but thats hardly a way out. those people died because they had no choice, they died so we wouldnt have to grow up under German rule. they died so that Europe wouldn't have to be German. They died so we could live in peace, and we should respect them for it. they need to be remembered, and if the highway is built they will just be forgotten. |
<3Romance<3 Jackass ![]() Age: - Gender: - Posts: 1186 | Oh my god! Come on! Is it a disgrace to show people, tourists what happened in World War I? I think this is a perfect way to show how many people have died in this war. And the motorway, so what? Most people today are driving motorcycles. And it's a great benefit, cause you're outside the whole time. Mostly, what paper's do, is making people overreact. I didn't read the article, but it may be that the motorway comes near the cemetery. |
Nerdosaurus Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 5559 | Robot:what if they dident kill. But got killed? Huh? If you got killed would you like to me driven over and over? No, I dont think so. |
GD Addicts Anonymous Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 5896 | That's so retarded! Those people are dead because they fought for their country, have a little respect? France is a big country, build it somewhere else. I know some people don't care but I don't think they'd be too happy if they found out their bodies were under a motorway after they fought for their country. |
Peter Petrelli King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 4161 | Most of those people also didn't have a choice whether they joined to fight or not. Some were kids barely nineteen. I passed a grave at Omaha Beach, Normandy, that belonged to a sixteen year old kid. That's sick. The dead should be respected. The idea that because 'they fought in wars' they're not entitled to respect after they've died is ludicrous. I might not advocate war, but I'm sorry, that's just going too far. |
Incubus Jackass ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 1820 | Robot: I don't think you realize the situation those soldiers were in. For one thing most of the soldiers were really young, before WWI there hadn't been a war for ages so people though "Great! Go fight, win a few medals for bravery and if not, well it'll be an honour to die for my country" so under age boys signed up to fight, they didn't realize the extent of killing that was going to happen. Someone put a gun in there hands and marched them to their deaths. They weren't the murders here, the politics that lead to the war was, the soldiers were the victoms. They could have lived long and healthy lives, got married, had children, grow old but they never got a chance. The least they can get in return is to be left to rest in peace. |
